I went to the Cinemas to watch this movie with the least expectations I had, All the banter around the movies and the casts and also the Pandemic had delayed this movie a little too long, Having said that let me just dive directly into sharing my thoughts what I felt after watching Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore
Grindelwald is on a journey to assemble the most Followers he can to seethe a conflict against muggles and finish them. Dumbledore then again has framed a team to prevent Grindelwald from accomplishing his fantasy. Will They Succeed ? or not? is the movie for you.
An Election will be held, which will announce the Ultimate Leader of the Entire Wizarding world. The Selection of the pioneer will be finished by this lovely new Born child of the Beast called Quilin (Pronounced as Chilin). Grindelwald and Dumbeldore both attempt to snag the child, for their particular reasons. Who Succeeds and How, Please Watch the film to find out
What I Liked
Over All theme Of the Movie
The most awesome aspect of the film was the subject this film followed. The Characters in this film follows a Path of Redemption. Towards the end, I felt like this film was shouting without holding back that It’s Ok to commit mistakes, assuming that you are prepared to take ownership of them and attempt to correct what is rectifiable.
I felt this film was keeping a Twin guideline. The Entire film was following the topic of nothing can be accomplished alone, you really want an accomplice for any task. All the subplots too was following this equivalent subject, Relations between Albus Dumbeldore and Aberforth Dumbeldore, the connection between Newt Scamander and his sibling Theseus, Newt and his Assistance, Newt and Jacob(the adorable little Muggle companion) Jacob and Queeny, Dumbeldore and Grindelwald, Even Some Magical Creatures Were Working in Pairs, Picket and Teddy for instance. I can’t offer a lot, however towards the end, it took two great Spells to counter a Terrible spell Which brings about the Breaking of another Unbreakable Spell. So everything was in Pairs
The Family Drama
I Still remember the moment I watched Second Movie, I was madly searching for all the possible connections between Albus Dumbeldore and Credence, But How Stupid I was to forget that Albus Dumbeldore was not the only Dumbeldore in the Universe, He had a Brother and a Sister too. That time I remember the Phrase from the Last Book where Albus Dumbeldore says that the world always forgets about Aberforth, which is so true, till the moment that Character Appeared on Screen I had totally forgotten about him. If it was up to Me I would have changed the title to The Secrets of Dumbeldore Family.
What I Didn’t Like
Even though Everything was nearly perfect in the movie, I Still believe that this movie was a little slow-paced in certain sequences, some scenes must have been avoided or should have been fast-paced.
Too Many Characters,
There were too many characters on both sides, Hence leading to very less character development of some characters, which will lead to forgetting them. I felt the same in the previous movie too.
The camera work, editing and the Jump Scenes were so perfect in the movie. Certain Sequence was so perfect that they will definitely give you goosebumps.
The background score was also fine, especially when Hogwarts is shown the infamous HarryPotter Theme Music kicks in, for a Potterhead Like me that was a very nostalgic moment
Effects and VFX were not up to the mark is what I believe, I am not being picky here, But I have seen Harry Potter Movies with better visual Effects
The direction was nothing to be blamed upon David Yates is One Of the most Successful Directors of the Franchise for a reason
The main aspect of any movie I believe is the Characters of the Movie
Albus Dumbledore was portrayed by Jude Law, and he was so exceptional in doing so, the charm and the leadership quality inside him were so evident in the whole movie, It was a Visual treat watching him
The most controversial role of the Franchise, this is the third time an actor is been replaced to play the role of Gellert Grindelwald. And I feel this time they have got it. Mads Mickelson has this Chaos in his way of Portraying Grindelwald. I just loved it, I hope they don’t replace him now
There were a couple of additions One was Laly and the new Hogwarts Professor, she was a kind of a fun character and I wish she stays as the main character. The other was Bunty, Newt’s assistant, she was my favourite in the entire movie as it’s very difficult to portray a character of loving someone and knowing that the love you crave for won’t be reciprocated
Rest was the usual Characters Which we had Seen in the Previous Films
To Sum it up
If you are aware of the universe You will Definitely love this movie. For the first time in 11 movies, I felt this movie was made for an adult audience, not that any age-restricted content or language is being used, but kids will be bored in many places as the dept of the scenes won’t be comprehensible for them
To cut myself short this is by far the Fantastic Beasts movie for me
I would like to rate a Solid 4/5
And as far as Ranking goes according to me
- Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore
- Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
- Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald
